Sheba my Baby, without her we would never have all the Goldens we have now, she was my rock, I miss her more than words can say. She filled such a void when our daughter left home, she was loved and cuddled like a baby as all Goldens should be.

Sheba at 8 weeks

She gave so much and asked for nothing in return,no matter how bad you felt She always wagged her tail and gave so much unconditional love. She laid for hours being groomed and fussed and most of all as our family of Goldens grew she played and loved them to bits. Although she was not of show or breeding quality she was a perfect pet and a wonderful Golden to share nearly 13 years of our lives with, we miss her so very much......

Treasured Friend

I lost a treasured friend today
The little dog who used to lay
Her gentle head upon my knee
And share her silent thoughts with me...
She'll come no longer to my call
Retrieve no more her favorite ball
A voice far greater than my own
Has called her to His golden throne.
Although me eyes are filled with tears,
I thank Him for the happy years
He let her spend down here with me
And for her love and loyalty.
When it is time for me to go
And join her there, this much I know...
I shall not fear the transient dark
For she will greet me with her bark.

Holly was a very demanding Golden but not her fault she had been reared in a kennel and had had quite a few changes in her life before coming to us it was very hard work to get her to live in the house with us so we could cherish her and bring out all the qualities that she held, eventually after 18 months of much patience and love especially on Daves part she finally relaxed enough to have a litter of puppies,we had a lovely litter of 8 to which Cassie was one her daughter has done very well in the show ring and still is in Veteran always coming home with a rosette or two usually red !! she is now 9 1/2 a real quality Golden and we thank Holly for her and the love she brought us in understanding the breed by learning from her and her ways, she was a joy to live with and so tolerant of our Family also as it grew, she was always Daves girl as Sheba was mine we miss them both terribly and so does Jodie who is now 12 they of course were all pals together and Jodie certainly grieved with the loss of them both within 6 months of each other but thankfully she has come out of that very worrying time now so you see it effect humans and their close doggy companions when they pass over The Rainbow Bridge but we know that they are happy and we are happy knowing that they have touched our lives in a very big way and will always be remembered.

OLD DOGS DO NOT DIE

We have a secret, you and I,
That no one else shall know,
For who, but I can see you lie,
Each night, in fireglow?
And who but I can reach my hand
Before we go to bed,
And feel the living warmth of you
And touch your silken head?
And only I walk woodland paths,
And see, ahead of me,
Your small form racing wit the wind,
So young again, and free.
And only I can see you swim
In every brook I pass.
And, when I call, no one but I
Can see the bending grass.
